This floating frontier haven can host other seasteads with different forms of governance inside its integrated SeaWall SeaStead, which protect from tsunami, rogue waves, typhoons, and pirates. We believe the frontier experience can be recreated today by leasing (99yr) a small section on the edge of a Pacific island not very far from the equator and anchoring the seastead nearby with a causway. The construction of the pilot city, New Arkon, will be from their industrial park on the island - See This How Ya Do It HERE It will be a ferrocement hexagon, covering a square kilometer, rise 7 stories in one integrated highrise structure, and decend below 10 levels as a counter balance to the highrise. There will be seagoing support modules in three concentric rings around the city module such as POWER, WATER, AGRO-CROP, AGRO-RICE, AGRO-CHKN, WASTE-RECYCLE, PARK-GYM, NITECLUB-DINING, OPNMARKT-TRADE, etc. The outer ring will be of SeaWall City modules, 200m long, 60m wide, and 30m high. These will provide the bay calmness and protection from tsunamis and rogue waves for other planned seasteads. We will be self sufficient by having agro modules and pig modules, and produce no pollution by converting animal and human manure into methane (natural gas), and shredded plastic into biodiesel. External economy businesses such as Stem Cell Therapy, Longevity Treatment, Elective Surgery, Fish Farms, HydroGraphic Surveys, Kelp Farms, and others, will all require a pre-existing infrastructure to take root in. Under the umbrella of a minarchy republic having limited powers, capitalists and major corporations will be invited to provide fee-based services and infrastructure for this Free City-State of the 22nd century. By creating floating cities and deep sea mining domes, these strategic partners will be prime candidates for infrastructure development on the moon and mars. And citizens will be prime candidates as colonists. WHY a Frontier SeaStead Country is a GOOD IDEA We are coming out of a 10,000 year stable climate period. HIGHLIGHTS of the SeaStead Frontier Haven A SeaStead is our best hope where we could make a different kind of society with new forms of governance in the incubator of a floating frontier, with few legacy problems. There would be minimal government, only to provide services needed at a country-wide level. These alternative forms of government would actually take care of citizens in a way chosen by them. If you look around the world today, there is not one country where there is a government OF the people (ordinary working folks), BY the people, and FOR the people. As part of our Good Neighbor Policy, New Arkon SeaStead will provide technical, financial, and labor assistance to the 'Women are Half the Ocean" foundation. We would also provide protection in the event of a tsunami. There are 452 volcanoes in the Pacific Ring of Fire, and for Pacific Islanders this means they might have up to 12 hrs. warning. Pioneers from any country over age sixteen may apply for citizenship. They must be able to speak, read, and write better than survival english, although the official language will be GALAK. This is an english-like language with fewer rules and exceptions, and does not have the legacy of colonialism. Daily living on New Arkon wont be as harsh or comfortable as you may have imagined. Health Clinics will be available for first aid of cuts, scrapes, burns, bites, bones, sex related infections, heart attack (ADF), etc. A small hospital is planned; until then a medivac service will do. If you have major health problems, the frontier is not for you at this time. You must be able to swim 100 m freestyle , and tread water for 15 minutes. For your own survival. Should you wish to leave and try another seastead form of governance, you must clear any debts and obligations first. This is to be an egalitarian frontier society with few restrictions. The state will protect you from foreign invaders, unsafe food, false advertising, and other citizens. It will not protect you from yourself, thats your job. Foreign embassies are welcome, but there will be no diplomatic immunity from the laws of the land. All embassy compounds will be of equal size, and pay the same rent. The national air carrier will be Hybrid Air ships carrying 3-5 container modules for freight or passengers. They will be discoid shaped similar to a manta ray to minimize cross wind influence. And hydrogen will be used for neutral lift. We would develop a merchant marine to use sail powered cargo cutters with service to Los Angeles, Manila, Taiwan, Tokyo, and Busan. There is a growing chorus of folks advocating a sustainable lifestyle, without
considering what that might cost. This chart shows what has to happen to reach
'sustainability' at the 1880 pre-Oil level. Somebody's neighbors are gonna have to feed the
trees. There are many ways to reach this Green TreeHugger goal; none are very nice. The
transition reality will be savage and brutal at best, and it could start as early as January 2013
with oil prices continuing to rise. No more happy motoring.
Thanks to our leaders for the 'Seneca Effect' whereby propping up a depleting resource
guarantees the eventual fall will be more sudden. So instead of a gradual decline, you get a
collapse. This is what the US policy advisors and oil lobbys have led several administrations
into doing, as well as England and Eurozone. We could hav used the time and money to
develop solar, wind, and thorium, but were deceived into propping up Big Oil. This is worse
than criminal, it is evil. Without asking they have consigned the next seven generations to a
